BMW X6 Active Hybrid production version announced

BMW has officially unveiled today the BMW X6 Active Hybrid which will make its world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) in September. The BMW X6 Active Hybrid will reach the U.S. shores in the fourth-quarter of 2009.
The BMW X6 Active Hybrid is powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 gasoline engine that develops 400 hp and two electric motors that output 91 hp and 86 hp. In total, the BMW X6 Active Hybrid develops 480 hp and 575 lb-ft. of torque. With this powertrain the BMW X6 Active Hybrid is able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds and to go on until it reaches a limited top speed of 130 mph.
The BMW X6 Active Hybrid price will be announced closer to the model’s “on sale” date.

Speaking about the design of X6 i feel it has many negatives. First of all the cargo space and capacity is less. Passenger capacity is just 4 and is costlier than X6 xdrive35i. Fuel economy is average.
