jeremy1 300x262 Jeremy Clarksons salary reportedly slashed by BBCAccording to the UK’s Daily Mail, Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson makes an estimated £2,000,000 per year (about $2.9M U.S.D.). According to the financial realities of a disintegrating global economy.

If reports are correct, Clarkson stands to lose up to £500,000 (about $720,000 USD) because of cost cutting by the BBC. While The Beeb is honoring all current contracts, the UK’s public broadcaster – and the world’s largest – is looking to save £20 million ($29M) by putting salaries on a diet. Anyone making more than £100,000 per year ($144k) will get a 25% pay cut when their contract is renewed. However, if tales of Jeremy’s profit sharing are true, he won’t be missing that chunk of change for too long…
