Volkswagen Polo R WRC Stree Volkswagen Polo R WRC Street edition

Earlier today Volkswagen revealed the new Polo R WRC Street concept, which is going to have its world debut at the Worthersee 2012.

Volkswagen Polo R WRC Street previews a very limited edition version, which is set to go on sale towards the end of next year. The VW Polo WRC Street is basically a racing car modified to be road legal. Unfortunately, Volkswagen is keeping the details of the Polo WRC Street a secret for the moment. What we do know is that it’s going to be powered by a 2.0 liter TSI engine with an output of 162 kW / 220 PS. VW says that the Polo WRC Street will be able to offer motorsport-like performance for the road.

The Polo WRC Street is probably equipped with a sportier suspension than the standard one, and bigger brakes. It also has modified aerodynamics, which include a new front spoiler, a rear roof wing and a diffuser. At the interior, the Polo WRC Street comes with sport seats and a new steering wheel. This unique model has not been given a price tag yet.
